After being in the sublimation world for several years, I decided that it was time to take my hobby to the next level. I was sourcing laser cut materials from other companies, and that was becoming pricey and inconvenient. Buying my own laser seemed like the next logical step.
This is where my obsession to find a laser engraver started. If I wanted to turn my hobby into a business, I needed a serious laser but, I had a few challenges. I knew very little about lasers, and I didn't know anyone who owned one. Buying a laser sounded fun but, I was scared and was lacking knowledge. I knew very little, yet I knew that I wanted a commercial laser, from a solid company that provided good technical support in the United States.
I started researching, I contacted lots of companies, and created charts with pros and cons of their various lasers. The more I researched, the more I imagined myself laser engraving wood, acrylic as well as powder coated metals from the comfort of my home.
Several weeks later, I found the "The One," I found a company in Florida, that had a laser engraver that met my needs, and provided great customer support in the USA. After looking at AEON Laser USA line of lasers, and surveying my space, I settled on a Mira 9. It was the perfect machine for my space! She was small enough to fit my space, yet large enough for me to create a 23.50" x 35.50" sign. It was the perfect laser for my needs.
My Aeon Mira 9 now resides in my studio, located in my garage. Having this laser at home affords me the opportunity to be creative anytime I want. Over 2 years later, I can say that this was a wise investment as my Aeon Mira 9, gives me the edge I need to propel my business and generate extra income.
